Good Friday morning! Today we will finish our study of 'When the storms come'. Besides the skunk invasion, we have talked about the fact that we are never alone as we walk through the storms because God walks beside us. We have seen how through God we can have the peace that passes all understanding. We also took a look at today's national financial crisis and how Psalm 62 asks us to wait for the Lord in silence; trusting Him for His is our rock and our salvation. Several friends who have been following our study in Morning Glory have contributed with some of their thoughts. One is a gal who, like the rest of us, is experiencing some of the storms of our economy. She says that one of her favorite verses that she learned in her youth is Matthew 6:19-21; "Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust can corrupt and where thieves break through and steal, but lay up for youselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not corrupt and where thieves do not break through and steal". Another lovely lady shares that she always knew about Jesus. She always loved Him but it took one little church to finally make her feel the need for Jesus as her Saviour. When we have Jesus, storms may come and storms may go but we will stand as a tree planted by the waters that spring forth from the promises of our God.
Thank you for sharing in this weeks study. Continue to ponder on God's word and I pray we will meet again on Monday morning with a new thought found in Morning glory devotionals. Until then, enjoy being in the house of the Lord on Sunday morning. Jane Ann
