Many times a follower of Morning Glory will leave a comment at the end of the daily message. Please check out those comments because most times they are pertinent to the discussion of the week. BILL BOARD’s
One afternoon as we were driving down one of the main streets in our town I noticed a billboard to the left of us, had a new display. It was for a local jewelry store! It was an ad for selling jewelry but what jumped out at me was the sexual connotations that depicted children having been put to bed hearing the sounds of the mother as she exclaimed her ecstacy while opening her gift. I felt it was inappropriate! Immediately, I called the jewelry store on my cell phone and expressed my disappointment in the store for displaying such an ad. They removed it and replaced it with a more defined and appropriate ad that was more on selling jewelry than grabbing the attention of sexually oriented buyers.

We saw these things coming but as the world was drinking it all in, the Christian community said; "This too shall pass". It is true that fads come and go but I believe the notion that selling sex has only just appeared in our society, is bogus. If you read Song of Solomon 3:10 you will find that even Solomon had a chariot built and had pictures of love inlaid on the leather seats. The scriptures said; "from the daughters of Jerusalem". The problem today is that we have so many avenues of advertisement and so many who want to see, feel and touch that our laws are willing to use the 1st Amendment to give their approval. Because our political correctness and so called freedoms, we have allowed ourselves to become a community of immorality.

Why do you suppose the news is filled with sexual predators who are either, wanted, have been captured or released and required to register wherever they move to? Why are there so many children, boys and girls, being molested, raped and murdered? Why are women found dead by the roadside, having been raped and murdered? It is because of the exploitation of sexual, pornographic and explicit displays that have become the norm in books, movies, television and on the world wide web. We are even teaching it in our schools under the guise of education. Safe sex is better than no sex? Marriage is the only safe sex according to my book!

Don’t be duped! This is not okay! Living the ‘if it feels good, do it’ kind of life leads only to destruction. Not only while living an earthly life but also our eternal life. For many, self-control, is an attribute that has gone by the wayside. 1 Corinthians 7:5b says; "Lest Satan tempt you through lack of self-control". Recognize that Satan knows your weak points and he plays them like a violin. Very precise with, sweetness, full of melody and rhythm; it seems so right

Proverbs 4:14-15 says; "Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on". Just because you read it in books and because you see it being allowed in movies, television and on the internet; Just because your best friend says it is okay; run as quickly as you can away from the temptations that are inspired by the world, because you know in your heart that the worlds way is not the Lords way. Living in the fast lane doesn’t get you to your destination faster! Jane Ann
