As we begin our "When the storm comes" followup study this morning I want to ask the question; "Do you think the sky is falling?" Our country is presently in the midst of a national financial crisis! The stock markets are fluctuating between high and low with extreme totals which leave not only our nation, but the world with the impression that we are experiencing a fractured infrastructure. Can this be fixed? In Psalm 62 David writes about God alone is our refuge from outside oppressions. It tells us that we should wait in silence for God only because He is our salvation. He is the rock and will secure our stronghold. God will hold us fast and we shall not be shaken. We should put our trust in God only and not in man. Take our insecurities to Him for He is our only refuge. In verse 10 David says; "Do not trust in oppression, and do not vainly hope in robbery; if riches increase, do not set your heart upon them". Verses 11-12 reminds us; "Power belongs to God; and lovingkindness is thine, O Lord, for thou dost recompense a man according to his work". God's word is amazing! His answers are always timely and give us assurance in everything. Jane Ann
